Upholding the breed standard is important to me, but my main focus is on personality and temperment. I have chosen each of my dogs carefully for their personality, health background, as well as conformation. For this reason, I am very proud of all of my dogs.
All my dogs are my pets and as such, live with me in my house. They have their own bedroom in which they sleep and stay when we are not home but most of the time they are out and about with my family. They are constantly played with, cuddled, cared for, and loved.
All my dogs are accustomed to household noises, such as the vacuum cleaner, the toilet flushing, music, the dishwasher, etc.
Some have the impression that Chihuahuas are 'yappy' and bark a lot. I guess over the years there have been a few of those but I have never had a problem with inappropriate barking. We find that when a dog is properly socialized, and given the appropriate training there never is a problem with yapping and barking.
We as a family often have company over, a social event our dogs always take part in so that our chi's will continue to be friendly, outgoing, and people oriented.
I know what a joy it is to own a well bred and well socialized chihuahua and I want to be able to offer that joy to other people who want the experience of loving and being loved by the world's smallest dog, a Chihuahua.
