CutiePaws Goes to A Wedding
|
It was going to be a
busy summer for
the gang at
CutiePaws. You
see, love
was in the air, but
not only among the
dogs.
So 'the question'
was asked.
The date set
and the place
chosen.
All the other
details fell
into place.
Details like...
The Dress!
With only 3 weeks to
go it was great that it
fit perfectly and didn't
need to be altered at all.
The make-up.
The hair.
On the night of the
wedding, the plan
was for the family
and friends to stay
overnight at the
beautiful Inn. There
was just one problem,
or should I say a few
'little Chihuahua'
problems!!
A solution was
found by
Robin, on the
evening we
went for the
rehearsal at the
Inn. He found
the perfect
answer to our
problem...
The talented Tasha at work.
Cheryl creating a masterpiece.
... a fenced in
kennel located at
the back of the
Inn.
We were estatic
when the owners
welcomed the
dogs!
Robin went to
work and soon
the beds, toys
and ample dishes
of water were
placed in the
outdoor kennel.
Then one by one
he introduced the
Chihuahuas to
their weekend
accommodations.
With all the dogs happily exploring their new yard, Robin could now get
his suit on. As the father of the Bride, he had an important roll in this
wedding.
Everything was
ready and at 4:25
the sun was
shining and the
wedding guests
were waiting.
Then at 4:28...
... the clouds
opened up and
the rain poured
down. So much
for our 4:30
outdoor wedding.
But the young bride was
oblivious to the rain.
Nothing could dampen
her happiness on this
day.
The mother of the bride,
however, was furious
that the father of the
bride was nowhere to
be seen.
Where could he be?
Everyone pitched in to
help as the formal
rooms in the house were
changed around to
accommodate the
wedding.
But where was Robin?
The Bride was patiently
waiting in her parents
suite, while Wanda was
pacing the floors
wondering were Robin
was...?
The water streamed down Robin's
cheeks and ran under his collar as
he told them about the 44 big, sad
eyes begging him to take them in
out of the rain.
As they tried to pat dry his
drenched clothes, he recalled his
thoughts of his daughter up in her
suite, dressed in all her finery, dry
and waiting to be led down the
grand stairway,
and then he looked at the poor,
little, shivering Chihuahuas and
there was no question in his mind...
Suit and all he immediately ran into
the downpour, scouped up the little
dogs and one by one took them
inside the van where he toweled
them dry and put them in their beds.
While the rain danced on the roof of
the van, the 22 little Chihuahuas
snuggled down in their beds with
lots of warm cuddley blankets and
slept, completely unaware of the
excitement going on inside the old
Inn.
Finally, here comes the bride...
Everyone
had a
great time.
Later that night,
all through the
house not a soul
was stirring not
even a...
Chihuahua.
and a very wet father.
Finally he came in, dripping wet!
